Empowering the young, and young at heart, to realize their inner musician.
At the Dynamic Music and Movement Studio, all students attend a weekly private piano lesson. The length of the lesson varies from 30-60 minutes, depending on the students’ needs. In order to make consistent progress, students need a suitable instrument for at-home practice. If you don’t already have one, please call us before you purchase an instrument so we can guide you to the best options within your price range.
Lenore and Emma train their students to not only become experts at reading music but to bring the page of music alive by playing with musical expression. As Beethoven said: “To play a wrong note is insignificant but to play without passion is inexcusable.” They also encourage creativity and improvisation at the piano. Their ultimate goal is to teach their students to become independent musicians so they can enjoy their musical skills for a lifetime.
All piano students should have plenty of opportunities during the year to perform. The Dynamic Music and Movement Studio hosts recitals three to four times per year. We hold our recitals in-house to create a fun, welcoming environment for our students. Our goal is to make the recitals as entertaining as possible for the audience by showcasing a wide variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, pop, and Disney.
Lenore and Emma also perform in all the recitals and since both are vocalists and pianists, they often sing and play. Whenever possible, we invite special guests to perform. When our students and their guests leave the recitals, we hear comments such as, “Wow, I feel like I just attended a free professional concert!”
